Recession blamed for fewer topless women

If French beaches are not as delightful as they have been, blame it on recession. French beaches have always been quite a place to be at, especially for the males, with hordes of topless beauties strewn around like seashells. Things have not been quite the same of late and a study connected it with the wave of recession that has hit the world.

It has been found that when women are not particularly happy about their social status and economic condition, they tend to keep the clothes on and show off less. So, finally it boils down to just one thing – that the worldwide loss of wealth is making the world uglier than we thought. The money goes and takes the rest of the joy along with it. Alas!

Let’s hope when the money comes back, it restores our shores, too.

The Eva Mendes controversy of nude ad is yet to die, and here is another one that threatened the newly earned crowned of Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza. She looked in the danger of losing her hard-earned crown when it was found that she had posed topless for certain ads. Thankfully, they were ads and the photographs did not turn out to be naughty ones, caught-in-the-act kind

The lady’s crown in safe, and the controversy is over. However, the photograph is here for you all to see. Much ado about nothing.

The love cats were hiding under the table last year, but times seem to have changed with the duo having come out roaring in public wearing their love like batches of honor. Well, I am talking about Jessical Biel and Justin Timerlake. They were recently seen walking around in full public view like eternal lovers.

It seems they have finally made up their mind and decided to dive deep after having tested waters gingerly. Calculated public display of affection is quite a strategy by now.

Regardless of the reason, they looked great together. Of course, Jessica looked better than any amount of ‘timber’ in any ‘lake’.

Ramadoss turns gay rights activist

Add another name to the ever-growing list of pro-gays and crusaders for gay right – our very own Ramadoss. After making India’s premier medical facility a battle ground for petty politicking, Mr. Ramadoss is championing the cause of the gays calling for the removal of Section 377 to decriminalize ‘unnatural sex’. And for what? To fight AIDS. Is there really a direct connection? What does criminalization of ‘unnatural sex’ comes to mean? Actually, it only restricts homosexuality behind the closed doors because the police do not go torch in hand looking into the dark bedrooms to find gays.

Besides, decriminalizing gay activity would not help the cause of AIDS at all because you cannot make them register for checks up. The only thing that works is awareness. The law does not need to be meddled with for homosexuals. Prostitution is a different matter altogether. We might indeed think of making it an activity subject licensing. That would help identifying the vulnerable and the underprivileged, who are prone to contracting AIDS on account of their lack of control over their surroundings.

So far Ramadoss is concerned, he is just trying to sound like a liberal thinking doctor. While the fact remains that he is just a politician with bloated ego and ballooning sense of self-importance. The fellow has no idea what Section 377 of the IPC is about, but ‘it should go’ because it sounds so very liberal and progressive.

Eva Mendes must be careful about what she wears to the parties and premiers, especially with her mother’s watchful eyes around. Mendes recently revealed that her mother was her foremost fashion critic.

Mendes’ mother is known for not shying away from criticizing her daughter for not being ‘more ladylike’.

Well, I am sure she would have nothing to complain about the recent ‘Secret Obsession’ ad because Mendes’ birthday suit there is just perfect! Even the ‘authorities’ agreed on that and slammed a ban.

Jolie to build AIDS center in Ethiopia

Angelina Jolie, after giving birth to twins and having adopted quite a few others, has now started thinking about the future of her kids. And the first thing that came to her mind was to build an AIDS center that could be manages by her daughter Zahara when she grows up.

The Center will come in Ethiopia, which is Zahara’s own country of birth. The center is to be established by Jolie-Pitt Foundation.

Supreme Court abandons hearing after ‘contemptuous’ remarks

Even Supreme Court judges may lose patience with certain uncharitable remarks. This doesn’t happen very often but it did happen when the bench hearing the controversial Uttar Pradesh Provident Fund (PF) scandal that involves some judges could not tolerated certain ‘contemptuous’ remarks made by senior advocates Shanti Bhuhan and his son Prashant Bhushan. And following rather hot exchange of words between Justice Aggrawal and Mr. Shanti Bhushan the bench abandoned the hearing.

Justice Aggrawal wrote in the order that he was ‘recusing’. The other two judges did not either concur or differ. The matter has now been left for the Chief Justice to settle.

First time father at 111

Fatherhood came late, but it surely is there for this 111-year-old reptile whose forefathers roamed the earth with dinosaurs. This fellow is Henry, a tuatara with prehistoric origins, who did not seem interested in females for all this 40 years in captivity and it is safe to assume that he did not reproduce in the wild.

But recently his 80-year-old mate laid eggs which are soon to hatch. He had found his sexual vigor and is now showing interest in two other females. That’s good news, but the zoo-keepers warn that with these people it can take years of foreplay before they come in the copulation mode. Secret of longevity, is it?
